Elaine Halesey Ed.D., R.T.(R)(QM)

Dr. Halesey holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her undergraduate degree is in Radiography and master’s degree is in Administration. She has been tenured since 1990 and a full professor upon earning her doctorate in 1997. She has spent the last 42 years on the Misericordia University Medical Imaging faculty and served as its Department Chair for the first 31 years.

Her current primary areas of teaching include: Quality Management in the Imaging Sciences; Image Production; Intro to Research; Issues in Medical Imaging; mentoring seniors in their capstone course, and visiting students during their first clinical experience.

As a long-time member of both the ASRT and PSRT, Dr. Halesey is passionate about serving as an advocate for change in order to better the Medical Imaging profession, especially in the area of state licensure.
