Dr. Kristi Moore serves as chair and professor of the Department of Radiologic Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Health Related Professions. In her 19+ years as an educator, Dr. Moore has remained active in state and national professional societies. She has served at the national level as chair of the board of directors for the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and is currently the Vice Chair for the ASRT Patient Shielding Task Force.
Dr. Moore currently serves as a member of an international research integrity framework group, a peer reviewer for the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences through the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, and a member of the International Advisory Board (IAB) for Radiography, which is Elsevier’s International Journal of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy. She and her writing colleagues at UMMC won the Jean I. Widger Distinguished Author Award in 2021 for a peer-reviewed article published in ASRT’s Radiologic Technology Journal. Dr. Moore was named Most Effective Radiologic Sciences Educator in the 2022 Minnies Awards, and the UMMC Radiologic Sciences program was a semifinalist for the Best Radiologic Sciences Program in the nation.
